Trinidad and Tobago Men 4×400 Champions at 2019 World Relay Championships

Trinidad and Tobago woke up to the wonderful news that the men 4×400 Team at the World Relay Championship at Yokohama 2019 won the Gold medal in a time of 3:00:81! They successfully defended their medal from the World Championship in 2017.

The Team of Deon Lendore, Jereem Richards, Asa Guevara and Machel Cedeno brought home the gold in the finals with a great fight to the finish just beating the Men USA team at the finish line. Cedeno did an amazing last leg coming from third to first. The USA men were subsequently disqualified for a lane infringement.

They beat the other Caribbean Team, Jamaica into second. The other major contender, United States had a lane infringement and was disqualified.
